I didn’t set out to build frameworks, host a podcast, or stand on stages talking about resilience and healing.
I set out to understand why so many people look like they’re holding it all together—while quietly falling apart underneath.
That question has shaped my life’s work.
Watch this to hear a bit of why this work matters — and why you are exactly who this is for.

Why This Work Matters to Me
For years, I lived in a cycle of pushing through, over-functioning, and doing what I thought I should do—while ignoring what my body, mind, and heart were asking for.
I wasn’t burned out in a dramatic way.
I was quietly depleted.
What finally changed things wasn’t willpower or discipline.
It was learning how to pause—long enough to listen, notice patterns, and choose differently.
That pause became the foundation for everything I do now.
What I Believe
I believe:
- You can’t heal what you’re rushing past
- Most unhealthy patterns aren’t failures—they’re signals
- Real change happens in small, compassionate moments, not extremes
- Your past doesn’t define you—but it does prepare you
This belief led to the creation of Delay the Binge™ and continues to shape my speaking, writing, and conversations.
What I Do Now
Today, I’m a speaker, bestselling author, and podcast host, helping people pause with purpose and move forward one meaningful step at a time.
My work blends:
- Lived experience
- Education and observation
- Honest conversation
- Practical tools people can actually use
Whether I’m speaking to organizations, hosting the Delay the Binge™ Podcast, or writing under my pen name PJ Hamilton, the heart of my work stays the same:
Helping people recognize the moment before the pattern—and choose something that serves them better.
If You’re Here Wondering…
If you’re here because:
- Something feels off, but you can’t quite name it
- You’re tired of “fixing” yourself
- You want change without shame or pressure
You’re in the right place.

One Last Thing
You don’t have to rush this.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
Sometimes the most powerful move is simply pausing long enough to notice what you need next.
